Fees

Sonja follows the BCACC recommended rate for Registered Clinical Counsellors:

  • Individual Therapy: $160

  • Couples Therapy: $180

Payment is due at the end of each session and can be made by e-transfer or credit card. Receipts are provided for your records and insurance reimbursement.

A sliding scale rate may be available for a set period of time if you are experiencing extenuating circumstances.

Insurance

While counselling services are not covered by MSP, many extended health plans provide coverage for sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), and direct billing is available for many insurance companies. Coverage varies by provider and plan, so it’s best to confirm details directly with your insurer.

Sonja is also registered with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) and is able to accept approved funding.

Cancellations

Your appointment time is set aside just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a 50% fee. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

This policy helps ensure availability and allows us to offer care to others who may be waiting. Thank you for your understanding.
